For the 42nd year of the race, I decided it was time to spruce up the logo of Gobbles, the race mascot. By reducing the amount of feathers and slightly tweaking the typography and colors, I was able to create a more modern and distinctive logo.

Turkey Trot

The Mile High United Way Turkey Trot has been a Thanksgiving tradition for many families for more than 40 years. There are more than 20,000 who come to run and spectate. While I was the Graphic Designer for Mile High United Way, I was in charge of creating graphics for all aspects of the race including the large format signs and banners, doggie bandannas, t-shirts, advertisements, and much more.

 For the 42nd year of the race, I decided it was time to spruce up the logo of Gobbles, the race mascot. By reducing the amount of feathers and slightly tweaking the typography and colors, I was able to create a more modern and distinctive logo.

 Other additions to the 42nd annual race were a few, fun variations on the logo. These were used in various social media posts and advertisements. I created a cool, summer-ready Gobbles, a patriotic Gobbles, and finally an intellectual Gobbles.

However, for the 42nd year I felt it was time for a change of pace. The entire marketing team worked to create a fun tagline that could be used throughout all of the race collateral. I decided to create an original graphic that went with the tagline "Struttin Your Stuffin".
